Great Wall TCM

Wo.men Matters was born from a legacy of care that began in 1977 with the founding of Great Wall TCM by Chief TCM Physician Tay Kim Lik.

Built on decades of trusted clinical practice, this heritage laid the foundation for a new vision: a women-focused TCM practice designed for the modern woman.

Rooted in time-honoured wisdom yet guided by contemporary understanding, Wo.men Matters carries forward the same commitment to thoughtful, compassionate, and effective care through every stage of a woman’s life.

Wo.men Matters was also shaped by a deeply personal journey.

Our co-founder, Everdene, experienced first-hand the emotional and physical realities of womanhood through years of hope, loss and perseverance on her path to motherhood.

Gentle TCM support and compassionate care gave her not just treatment, but also understanding.

Conceiving her son at 40 reshaped her purpose, inspiring her, together with her husband, Dr Tay Hao Xiang, and the Wo.men Matters team, to create a space built by women, for women, where every story is honoured and every woman feels safe, seen and cared for.

Physician Tay Hao Xiang

Dr Tay Hao Xiang

郑浩翔 博士

Senior TCM Physician (Ph.D. in TCM Gynaecology) 

Dr Tay holds a Doctor of Medicine in Gynaecology of Chinese Medicine from Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine.

He is fluent in English and Mandarin, which helps him explain every step clearly and make patients feel at ease.

His work focuses on fertility care for both women and men, and he takes time to review each person’s lab results so he can understand their health in a complete and thoughtful way.

Many couples have welcomed their babies with his support, a blessing that brings him great joy and continues to guide the way he cares for every patient.

Physcian Leong Shan Ying

Leong Shan Ying

梁善莹 医师

TCM Physician 

Physician Leong Shan Ying focuses on TCM gynaecology and fertility care, supporting women and couples with a calm and thoughtful approach. She graduated from the Double Degree Programme in Biomedical Sciences and Traditional Chinese Medicine at Nanyang Technological University, where she blended modern medical understanding with traditional healing. 

She believes in looking at the whole person, not just the symptoms, and spends time identifying the root causes behind gynaecological and fertility concerns.

By helping the body return to balance, she supports patients seeking better fertility, steadier hormones and improved overall wellbeing. She takes great joy in guiding individuals and couples through their journeys and is known for her gentle manner and patient-centred care.
